15 years later, back in Manado.
Returning to De La Salle University Manado—where I had the privilege to teach between 2009 and 2011—felt like stepping into a place both unchanged and deeply alive.
My sincere gratitude to the Rector and his team for their warm welcome, and for keeping the Lasallian spirit so vibrant in this truly unique university.
It was here, in a frugal technological environment, that I first discovered the vitality and the sheer potential of the open-source digital ecosystem.
And, in many ways, decided to dedicate my career to it.
Sometimes, it is good to move—geographically, or inwardly. To let yourself be challenged by something out-of-the-box. To make space for new intuitions to emerge.
Thank you Fidesco for this life-shaping opportunity.
And kudos to De La Salle Manado for continuing to cultivate such a singular vision within the Indonesian academic landscape.
